Alyssa joined Darwin K9 in the Spring of 2011. She is the Head Trainer of Darwin K9′s Triad division located in Greensboro, NC. Alyssa will be training dogs throughout Greensboro, Highpoint, Winston-Salem, Burlington, and surrounding areas.
Before joining Darwin K9, Alyssa graduated from the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers. While there, she became certified in behavior modification, detection, protection, agility, obedience, tracking, and puppy imprinting.
Currently Alyssa has three dogs in her life.
Loki, who has a triple major in attention seeking, tail chasing, and keeping her spot on the bed warm- Faith, a parvo puppy who was never supposed to make it and now boasts of having passed the rigorous TRS curriculum with shining colors, and Angel, the dog that started it all for a few of the Darwin K9 trainers with her sweet disposition, and unfaltering loyalty (it doesn’t hurt that she did a large part of Faith & Loki’s training). And a very elusive kitty named Rook who spends her time knocking only the most important things off of the counters and escaping the three shepherd noses that torment her!
